Municipality of Saanen

Public corporation over the territory of the municipality of Saanen. Political, legal and administrative management of a sovereign nature.
The administration is headed by the Administrative Director and is divided into three departments: Education, Social Affairs and Security, Building Inspectorate, Spatial Planning, Infrastructure and Finance and Real Estate.
As a political authority, the municipal council is elected by voters for a four-year term of office. The municipal council elects the members of the standing committees for the same term of office. Each municipal councillor is head of department and committee chairman. The only exception is the Standing Voting and Election Committee, which is non-political.
