With the Great Place To Work Lab @ HWZ Great Place To Work Switzerland and the HWZ Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich are launching a joint initiative dedicated to the research, development and concrete shaping of work and organizational culture. The aim is to open up new perspectives on collaboration in organizations - scientifically sound, practical and with a focus on people.
"We see organizational culture as a key driver of value creation - and at the same time as the key to identification, self-efficacy and well-being in the workplace" explains Dr. Thomas Schneider, initiator of the Lab. The platform is dedicated to managers, HR managers, researchers and experts from the field who deal with collaboration, leadership and culture in organizations from different perspectives.
Four pillars for impact in science and practice
The Great Place To Work Lab @ HWZ combines expertise from research and business practice in four central fields of activity:
1. CAS Business Culture Design HWZ
An innovative continuing education course that teaches the basics and practical knowledge for shaping a value-creation-oriented culture.
"Today, workplace culture determines the attractiveness, performance and sustainability of organizations," explains Dr. Nicolas Berkowitsch, Head of the CAS Business Culture Design HWZ. "In this CAS, we show how culture is not left to chance, but can be specifically designed and simulated in advance with AI - in a practical, effective way and with direct benefits for your own organization."
2. Leadership Training
A training format for managers who want to actively shape culture - individually or across the entire organization.
3. Events & Community
Interactive formats that offer opportunities for exchange, inspiration and the creation of a lively network of cultural designers.
4. Individual Consulting
Great Place To Work Lab @ HWZ's interdisciplinary team supports organizations on their way to a healthy, productive and sustainable culture.
"The transfer between theory and practice is a key concern for us," emphasizes Prof. Dr. Brian Rüeger, Rector of the HWZ. "We want to support companies in addressing current challenges from a cultural perspective - and in developing scientifically sound solutions."
Strong Network - Combined Effect
In the past, the Great Place To Work team has already worked successfully with renowned companies such as LGT, Generali, Zweifel, Allianz, Sensirion and blue Entertainment AG as part of HWZ teaching activities. Together with a growing community of committed members, this creates a place for thinking, experimenting and implementing.
"We believe that true cultural development comes from collaboration - in ecosystems between people, disciplines and organizations. The Great Place To Work Lab @ HWZ is our contribution to a new world of work."says Dr. Meike Wiemann-Hügler, Project and Course Director in the Department of Management & Leadership at the HWZ.The Great Place To Work Lab @ HWZ is our contribution to a new world of work."
