To be considered, organizations must first be identified as outstanding in their region by being included in one or more of our lists of the best employers in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey and the United Kingdom in 2022 or early 2023.
The organizations are divided into three categories: Small (10-49 employees), Medium (50-499 employees), Large (500+) and Multinational. Multinational companies are also judged on their efforts to create excellent jobs in several countries in the region. They must be on at least three national lists in Europe and have at least 1,000 employees worldwide, of which at least 40 % (or 5,000) operate outside the country of headquarters.
