The Best Workplaces™ in Switzerland 2021

Cisco, AbbVie and Alnylam are the Best Workplaces™ in Switzerland in their respective categories. This result is based on feedback from over 16,000 employees who were surveyed by Great Place To Work® last year. The winners are characterized in particular by leadership quality, trust and innovative strength. This year, a special prize for Bold Leadership in the Corona crisis was also awarded to Sensirion AG, Schweizer Salinen AG and Greenliff AG. SAP (Schweiz) AG was also honored with the Swibeco Benefits Award.

As in the previous year, the 13th edition of the Best Workplaces™ Switzerland Awards took place virtually due to the current regulations. But there was no less celebration - a total of almost 1000 viewers were there live when Great Place To Work® announced the Best Workplaces™ in Switzerland in the respective categories.

In the large organizations category (250+ employees), Cisco is a company that has been one of the Best Workplaces™ for many years - both in Switzerland and worldwide. AbbVie has also long received top marks from its employees and has been recognized in the medium category (50-249 employees) every year since 2015. AbbVie has now been ranked number 1 for the second year in a row, and Alnylam has already been ranked as one of the small Best Workplaces™ in Switzerland (20-49 employees) for the past two years. This year, they even made it to the top of the podium.

A total of 45 organizations received awards - 13 organizations in the Small category (20-49 employees), 17 organizations in the Medium category (50-249 employees) and 15 in the Large category (250+ employees). We congratulate all organizations on this incredible success!

Special prize for Bold Leadership in the Corona crisis

Covid has not only had an impact on our private lives and social environment, but has also changed the way we work together: Organizations have had to make important decisions under time pressure while putting the health and well-being of all employees first. This year, we have therefore awarded a special prize to organizations that have excelled and managed to demonstrate Bold Leadership even in difficult times. Covid had drastic consequences for a large majority of people. One of the areas that was also hit hard in Switzerland's Best Workplaces™ is employee salaries. Most organizations were not in a financial position to increase salaries this year. Another way to show employees recognition without increasing salaries is through fringe benefits.

That's why Swibeco, an expert in employee benefits, has teamed up with us to create a special award to honor efforts in this regard. The first Swibeco Benefits Award will be presented to:
